What are the statements for?
The notary has to establish where your own money comes from (savings, a gift, the sale of a home). For that they ask for bank statements of the last six months of the account that holds your own funds.
Submit the statements as PDF files downloaded from your bank's app or online banking. Screenshots of your balance are not sufficient.
ING
- Log in to the ING app or at mijn.ing.nl.
- Select the account and go to Afschriften (statements; in the app via the account menu, on the website under Zelf regelen).
- Choose the months you need (the last six) and download each statement as a PDF.
ABN AMRO
- Log in to the ABN AMRO app or at abnamro.nl (Internet Bankieren).
- Go to Zelf regelen and choose Afschriften en overzichten, or open the account and choose Afschriften.
- Select the statement for each month and download it as a PDF.
Rabobank
- Log in to the Rabo app or at rabobank.nl (Online Bankieren).
- Open the account and choose Afschriften (on the website under Documenten or Rekeningafschriften).
- Select the months and download each statement as a PDF.
SNS
- Log in to the SNS app or at sns.nl (Mijn SNS).
- Go to Documenten or Afschriften for the account.
- Select the months and download the statements as PDFs.
Other bank, or not working?
Search in your bank's app or website for afschriften or rekeningafschrift (statements); almost every bank offers a PDF download. If that does not work, request the statements from your bank's service desk or customer service.
Screen names and menu paths may differ per version of an app, so the routes above are a guide. Are your savings in a separate savings account? Then submit the statements of that account as well.
